Portrait of a dying country: documenting the dying ways of living.
Roaming the Portuguese mountains, talking to farmers and trying to detect how their lives have changed since joining the EU.

Meet Idalina. She is 90 years old! I watched from a distance the decisions she had to make opting between carrying a huge pumpkin or a box. (I'll update the photos later) She went from picking it to carefully dropping it on the ground. She chose the box, so she started rolling the pumpkin through the field by gently kicking it. So funny! I had the most delicious conversation with her. Sweet sweet lady, however sanitarily careless. That didn't prevent me from kissing her.

Apresento-vos a Idalina. Tem 90 anos. Observei-a durante um bom bocado num campo, indecisa entre carregar uma grande abóbora ou uma caixa (vou colocar essas fotos mais tarde). Repetia o processo:
pegava na abóbora, pousava a caixa e isto continuou uns bons minutos. Decidiu-se pela caixa e começou a caminhar dando pontapés pequeninos na abóbora. Tão engraçada. Tive uma conversa deliciosa com ela. Uma velhinha doce, doce, mesmo que sanitariamente negligente. Mas isso não me impediu de lher dar dois beijinhos.♥
